Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials and products within warehouse or storage facilities.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or using a forklift, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage to goods and equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift, including wearing appropriate safety gear and using equipment properly.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the forklift, such as inspecting forklift parts, lubricating machinery, and reporting any mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles, storage areas, and forklift equipment, to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff and supervisors to prioritize tasks, fulfill orders, and resolve any issues or concerns related to materials handling.
• Complete any additional assigned task provided by supervisor.

Requirements:

• High School diploma/GED preferred, or equivalent experience in an automated or semi-automated packing environment.
• Valid certification to operate a forklift, obtained through a recognized training program or certification agency.
• Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more, and to stand, stoop, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail to accurately read and interpret work orders, labels, and other documentation.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the workplace.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with coworkers and supervisors to complete tasks efficiently.
• Dependability and punctuality are essential, as forklift drivers play a crucial role in the timely movement and handling of materials within the warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
